Coming soon...

We will be reviewing another fabulously classic JCVD flick in the very near future. This has unfortunately been delayed due to my own shameful behavior the other night when I fell asleep before the end of the movie. I have made my personal amends to the movie gods, and I am sure we are all looking forward to the ensuing post!

It should be noted that I wasn't going to tell anyone about said behavior. I would have guarded your secret with my life...I just want that known.

It should also be noted that you stayed awake through some really fantastic exposure so it wasn't a total wash.

Mission Statement

We have embarked upon a quest worthy of JCVD himself. We will watch all the movies bearing JCVD himself in the credits and document our journey for the betterment of all humanity. We will rate each movie with a specially formatted system labled the "VD Rating."

The rating will be based on:

1) JCVD exposure
Subcategories of this rating include:

A) Pectoral exposure
B) Sexy Time
C) Emotive Opportunities

2) JCVD boot to face contact
Subcategories of this rating include:

A) Signature moves
B) Duration of action
C) Music while ass-kicking

3) The effect of the supporting roles on JCVD's awesomeness
Subcategories of this rating include:

A) Children
B) Love Interests
C) Villains
D) Sidekicks

Bonus points will be awarded for plot, cinematography, and general artistry.

Our ultimate goal is to undergo a journey of personal discovery while at the same time promoting what we believe to be JCVD's actual talent for acting.

Maybe we'll even have a little fun along the way.

The Seekers of Knowledge Behind the JCVD Project

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Mission: Wisdom and insight through the works of JCVD

Conceived on a couch, in the dead of night over Long John Silver's and Universal Solider: The Return, Kate and Jess realized the tremendous gulf between the movie JCVD and the movies that have shaped the legend of JCVD needed to be assessed. Armed with English degrees and critical thinking skills they've set out to make themselves, and at least the world of JCVD movies, a better place.

Jess M is currently pursuing her PhD in Early Modern Scholarship and hopes desperately that her staunch refusal to grow up (as demonstrated by her honest love of action movies and the men who make them) doesn't keep her from getting a job some day.

Kate H manages of Health Food store and is new to the world of JCVD. Starting with his best movie last, JCVD, she is now traveling back in time through his action movies experiencing all the excitement--and slighty suspect acting and hair styles--for the first time.
